Whipple Superchargers Stage 2 780bhp+
The Whipple Superchargers Stage 2 Mustang GT package is the best value for money entry into the forced induction world of S550 Mustangs.
Been a positive displacement supercharger (more on that here) this kit produces boost as soon as the screws start to turn and as a result, the power curve that it creates faithfully mirrors that of the standard Naturally Aspirated engine that we are bolting it to. This perk of design results in an enhanced vehicle that retains daily driveability ... literally heaps more power without the usual sacrifices that would normally be associated with.
This Whipple kit is rated to an impressive 825bhp and 640 lbft of torque arguably putting past what would be safe to bolt onto an otherwise entirely stock Coyote engine and one that would have to be road driven exclusively and not used aggressively.
It is widely accepted that it's good practice to replace the cast factory Oil Pump Gear and Crank Gear in applications exceeding 750bhp. Having said that plenty of people running stage 1 and 2 Whipples have taken the risk not to and have had no problems. So we leave this decision up to you for now, we would recommend OPG and CG's in any forced induction application but we don't insist on them until you are pushing past 800bhp.
If you just want piece of mind or don't plan on stopping at Stage 2 and are just passing through then now is the best and most efficient time to carry out upgrades to the OPG, CG and timing assembly. Access to the engine is easiest whilst installing the supercharger kit which saves labour costs revisiting the engine at a later date.
In order to make the most of the Whipple kit you will need a set of equal length exhaust headers, there's plenty of fun to be had without them though so we have slotted them in as stage 2.5 so you can come back to them later.

Wherever possible, we aim to fulfil all orders within 15 working days. In instances like this where the three days are exceeded, we will inform you and aim to keep you updated.
In extreme circumstances, some products may only be manufactured to order, these delivery times can be over a month from the purchase date. We will contact you to let you know if this is the case before we place the order with the manufacturer.
