Maintainance
We are fortunate to maintain various new and classic performance cars, everything from American muscle to the most exclusive European supercars and Grand Tourers. In almost every instance, choosing to maintain your car with us will provide better value than going to your dealer. You can also be sure of a better and more thorough service.
We will always aim to do what is best for you and your car. This often means doing a little more than the manufacturer recommends at service time. A manufacturer service schedule is designed to allow your vehicle to wear out, not quickly but eventually. This strategy ensures the future sale of new components and, ultimately, new cars. We want to help you keep your pride and joy in top shape indefinitely.
Vehicle Servicing
Servicing your car shouldn’t simply be about adhering to the manufacturer’s schedule because the manual forces it on you – it should be about ensuring the car’s longevity by maintaining its health and performance.
We feel that maintaining your vehicle should almost be enjoyable rather than a chore, something to be proud of and to benefit from. And why not? It is your car. It makes sense to look after it.
Our vehicle servicing is carried out in line with manufacturer requirements at a minimum. In applications where a more vigorous schedule is required, we will work with you to decide how best to plan and implement one.
Choosing to maintain your vehicle with us brings all the benefits of a main dealer whilst incurring less cost and the advantage of being able to discuss yours and your vehicle’s requirements directly with the individuals working on it.
We can service all makes and models. To do so we maintain access to each manufacturer’s online portals to ensure your service history is kept updated.
You will find our pricing favourable over what you can expect from any main dealer or other high street garage brands.
We have the option to use OEM, OE or aftermarket components on your vehicle. We often identify that component manufacturers provide identical parts direct, for less than the dealer. For example, the ignition coils on the McLaren 570’s are Bosch components also fitted to Nissans, guess which costs less.
Spark Plug Replacement
We find it annoying, but spark plugs have become something of a ‘fit and forget’ part. In some cases, even the manufacturer’s service schedule doesn’t ever require them.
This has resulted in many cars’ performance suffering due to worn, old spark plugs. The C7 RS6, for example, is known for having engine failure because spark plug ends melt and come off. Often this occurs well within Audi’s recommended long service life of the plugs. Somehow it has become a ‘common fault’ in tuned vehicles, which appears to have become a substitute term for ‘common sense’, unfortunately.
We will recommend a realistic service replacement schedule depending on how you use your car. This can be anything from every 50,000 miles to every race.
In performance applications such as tuned vehicles, added forced induction or race applications it may be required to change to a different plug altogether.
Your plug gap comes pre-set but when the application changes so does hardware requirements and specifications. We will check and measure then adjust plug gaps for you.
Platinum, Iridium, Ruthenium or Race – what is right for you and which offers the best value of money. We will help you decide.
Fluid Maintainance
Despite the industry’s best intentions, not all engine oils need changing with every fuel station fill up. It may be that, with the right oil, you could change it less often rather than more. Better for the planet and your pocket.
Different engine oil grades are required for street, track, race and NA or Forced induction applications. We’ll help you establish what is right for you.
We can discuss with you OEM or OE specification engine coolant, Waterless coolant or water wetter’s depending on your use application.
A regular dot4 brake fluid won’t last long on a track day, let alone in a race car. Then the service life of racing brake fluid isn’t going to work for a road car. We can work with you to make sure you are using the right stuff.
Filter Replacement
Filters sound simple, but the types and options are endless. Air filters, fuel filters, oil filters and pollen filters are some of the ‘filters’ your car uses. Not all filters require regular replacement, and when you do replace them, there are options like OEM or standard replacement, upgrades or branded options to choose from. As always, we will work with you reccomend what is right for your vehicle and application.
Air filters are essential components in your vehicle, as they ensure the engine operates efficiently by trapping dust, debris, and contaminants. Regular servicing of these filters results in improved engine performance, better fuel efficiency, and a longer lifespan for your vehicle, making it a cost-effective maintenance practice.
Pollen filters, also known as cabin air filters, are vital components in your vehicle’s HVAC system, designed to trap pollen, dust, and airborne particles, ensuring clean and healthy air inside the cabin. Routine servicing of these filters is essential for maintaining high indoor air quality, preventing allergens from entering the vehicle, and ensuring efficient operation of the HVAC system.
Engine oil filters are essential components in your vehicle’s lubrication system, responsible for trapping contaminants and debris to ensure clean oil circulation. Regular servicing of these filters is crucial for maintaining engine performance, improving fuel efficiency, and extending the overall lifespan of your vehicle.
Fuel filters are critical components in your vehicle’s fuel system, tasked with capturing impurities and contaminants to maintain clean and efficient fuel delivery to the engine. Regularly servicing these filters is essential for preserving optimal engine performance, enhancing fuel efficiency, and prolonging your fuel system’s overall lifespan.
