To make planning and designing your perfect setup easier we have built ‘stage’ packages to help you structure your chassis development stages. We do not require that you walk our tried and tested lines though, we recognise the value and performance that can be achieved by working with manufacturers that we may not have come across ourselves.

MAP Essentials Chassis Package
Ford has a nasty habit of supplying the Mustang with terrible alignment from the factory, and as a result, we have seen cars as young as 5,000 miles on the clock need new front tyres because of severe inside tyre wear.
This package is designed to address that common issue. We have put it together for those who are not particularly bothered about improved performance but do want their car right. So we supply and install a set of Camber Bolts to give us the adjustment we need – it is a good idea to add the Steeda IRS base kit to improve stability on the UK’s roads.

Chassis stage 1
Stage 1 For the Mach 1 is slightly different to the GT and Bullitt. As the Mach 1 has a further improved suspension system from the factory, we only recommend the best for the Magneride suspension, Steeda’s dual rate ultimate handling springs

This will immediately make a huge difference to the ride of your Mustang, instilling a level of confidence in the chassis that will mean the difference between going around a roundabout with your eyes closed to having your eyes wide open, grinning.
*This package works perfectly for the Handling Package Equipped Mach 1.
Chassis Stage 2
The Mustang, straight from the factory, was designed as a comfortable cruiser; Ford prioritized comfort and succeeded. However, The Mach 1 out of the box is more performance-focused, But you can still enhance its cornering capabilities. This step involves eliminating the chassis deflection and creating a better connection between the driver and the road. This is where bracing comes into play. Our Stage 2 chassis package revolves around bracing. These modifications will significantly improve your car’s overall stability by reinforcing and securing the major chassis components that tend to have substantial deflection.
This package encompasses:
- Ford Performance strut tower brace (Not applicable with screw-type chargers)

As worthwhile on its own, when combined with the Stage 1 package, these modifications lay the groundwork for taking your Mustang’s performance to a new level.
Stage 3 Chassis Package
The Steeda billet aluminium vertical links feature Delrin or poly bushings that minimize deflection, enhancing the suspension feel without adding NVH. Steeda’s adjustable rear toe links further improve handling by minimising deflection while providing over 1 inch of adjustment. The toe links also result in a more accurate wheel alignment. This bundle also includes Ford Performance toe link bushings, replacing the less effective stock rubber bushings with high-performance delrin-lined spherical bearings. These components are crucial for reducing wheel hop.
Polybushes are typically recommended for naturally aspirated power levels.
For forced induction power levels, Delrin bushings are recommended. Nonetheless, our recommendation extends to those planning to add a supercharger to their setup.

MAP Stage 4
The Steeda front and rear anti-roll bars with billet mounts kit enhance cornering stability by reducing body roll. Adjustable Roll Bar End Links for both front and rear allow fine-tuning of suspension behaviour for improved handling and cornering stability. These components optimize your vehicle’s performance during spirited driving and track events without affecting comfort.
The hardcore package offers the ability to achieve zero pre-load on your suspension by utilizing adjustable drop links.
Alternatively, for the Mach 1, there’s the option to choose the Handling Pack’s US OEM rear roll bar upgrade.

MAP Chassis Stage 5
In stage 5, we focus on upgrading the factory shock absorbers to achieve the best performance. We offer Four distinct options: changing out the OEM Mag-ride dampers for none Mag-ride equipped performance dampers or adding a new upgraded magneride controller.
- ProAction Non-Adjustable: A choice that optimizes street performance without adjustability, balancing comfort and improved handling.
- ProAction Adjustable: This option allows you to fine-tune your vehicle’s suspension according to your preferences. It offers enhanced control over handling characteristics while maintaining street comfort.
- ProAction Active: This advanced choice introduces active damping technology, adapting the shock absorbers to real-time changing road conditions. It delivers superior ride quality and performance.
- Magneride Controller: The MagneRide Damping System available in Mustangs has revolutionized the car’s performance capabilities, both on the track and off. With a simple switch, you can glide comfortably on highways, switch to Sport+ for winding backroads, and activate Track Mode to master any racetrack. It seamlessly combines the benefits of manual coilover adjustments into a programmatic solution.
Each option caters to varying preferences and requirements, ensuring you can tailor your vehicle’s suspension setup for your desired level of street performance.

Stage 6
Excessive bump steer undermines control by letting the suspension dictate direction. Steeda’s Bump Steer Kit adjusts precisely, minimizing this issue for improved handling. Paired with Steeda’s front control arms, they are vital for lowered S550 Mustangs. Correcting the roll centre enhances steering response, reduces body roll, and amplifies grip.
