Description
Mahle Coyote Main Bearing Set MS-2292A: The Ultimate Foundation for Your Ford 5.0L Coyote
When it comes to the heart of your Ford Coyote engine, compromise isn’t an option. The Mahle/Clevite MS-2292A Coyote Main Bearing Set is designed to meet the rigorous demands of the modular 5.0L platform. Whether you are performing a stock refresh or a mild performance build, these bearings offer the precision fitment and durability required to maintain consistent oil pressure and crankshaft stability.
Advanced Alumitech Construction
Unlike traditional tri-metal bearings, the MS-2292A utilises Mahle’s proprietary Alumitech material. This aluminium-silicon alloy is specifically engineered for modern engines, offering:
-
Superior Embeddability: Safely traps small debris particles to prevent crankshaft scoring.
-
Corrosion Resistance: Highly resistant to the chemical byproducts of modern synthetic oils.
-
Optimised Clearance: Manufactured to OE tolerances to ensure perfect oil film thickness.
Vehicle & Engine Compatibility
This main bearing set is a direct fit for the following Ford 5.0L Coyote applications:
-
Ford Mustang GT: 2011–2023 (Gen 1, Gen 2, & Gen 3)
-
Ford F-150: 2011–2023 5.0L V8 Models

Which engines are the Mahle/Clevite MS-2292A compatible with?
The MS-2292A is a direct-fit Coyote main bearing set for the Ford 5.0L Coyote V8 used in the Mustang GT and F-150 from 2011 to 2024+. It supports Gen 1, Gen 2, and Gen 3 Coyote blocks. It is not compatible with the 5.2L Voodoo or Predator engines.
What is the benefit of the MS-2292A Alumitech material?
Mahle’s Alumitech® is a lead-free aluminium-silicon alloy containing 60% more silicon than standard bearings. This provides better “conditioning” of the crankshaft journal surfaces, higher fatigue strength, and excellent resistance to corrosion from modern synthetic motor oils, making it ideal for high-mileage street performance.
