TTE1300 720S UPGRADE TURBOCHARGERS
Welcome to our TTE1300 Stage 3 Twin-Scroll Turbocharger upgrade for the McLaren 720S 4.0-litre V8 M840T. The largest hybrids available.
To construct a pair of TTE1300 turbos, we removed the original compressors. We employed a far larger and more efficient billet wheel and milled the compressor cover to the optimum gap to match the new compressor profile. We also fitted the largest 9-blade Low-Mass turbines that can be accommodated in the turbine housings, resulting in increased flow and lower exhaust gas temperatures at high boost. Additionally, we designed and fitted our upgrade bearing pack to enhance durability. This combination offers the most significant power potential, along with a fast boost response, making it the ultimate hybrid turbocharger upgrade.
Equilibrium
Precisely balancing our turbochargers is a key critical factor to becoming a TTE upgrade unit, as longevity and performance are paramount. Good balance improves acoustics also. Subsequent great care is taken with all TTE turbochargers to achieve our balance standards. Firstly parts are balanced at slow speeds up to 2800RPM in multiple planes using our single parts machine. Components are assembled and then the CHRA are dynamically balanced, but this time depending on application at up to 250,000 RPM in multiple planes using our in house VSR machine to acquire the ultimate equilibrium, to a standard far higher than OEM. Each turbocharger is supplied with a serial-numbered balance test result document.
