Vehicle Health Check

A health check is usually carried out when a vehicle is in for a routine service, but it can also be undertaken as a standalone service. It consists of a thorough examination of a vehicle’s key components, such as the engine, transmission brakes, suspension and electrical systems.

Chassis

A chassis check consists of a visual inspection of all chassis components, such as shock absorbers, springs, control arms, rubber sleeves, rubber bushes, support and ball joints. Further checks include looking for corrosion or damage, as well as misalignments. A vehicle’s tyres are also closely inspected as part of this process, as the wear pattern on them can indicate things like the chassis’ overall condition, or the state of wear its shocks are in.

Engine

Our engine health check covers all of the critical components to keep your vehicle running as it should. It also covers things like oil and coolant levels, air and fuel filters, belt or chain condition and hoses. Further checks we carry out include spark plug health, exhaust system integrity and battery performance to make sure your vehicle is running exactly as it’s supposed to. This meticulous approach allows us to identify any issues before they get worse, while maximising engine efficiency and extending overall engine life.

Brakes

A malfunctioning braking system can lead to unthinkable consequences, and that’s why our break health check leaves no stone unturned when it comes to critical braking components. The inspection includes assessing the condition of pads, rotors, callipers and checking brake fluid levels and condition. We assess each of these components individually for wear and tear, while also checking brake lines and ensuring your vehicle’s ABS system is working properly. Getting the all-clear on your brakes from us means you can get back to what matters most – enjoying every moment you spend behind the wheel.

Bodywork

Our bodywork check focuses on maintaining a vehicle’s aesthetic and structural integrity. We meticulously inspect every inch of the exterior for scratches, dents and rust spots to ensure your vehicle looks as good as it drives. We take note of any imperfections in the paintwork, paying particular attention to fading, damage and panel alignment. Although aesthetics are important, not many people know that even a minor dent can compromise safety in the event of an accident. We finish off our bodywork check by assessing the condition of windows and seals to prevent leaks and noise infiltration.

Interior

Prioritise your comfort and safety with our interior check. This service consists of inspecting your vehicle’s seats and upholstery, dashboard, electronic systems and switchgear to make sure everything is as it should be. We also check your vehicle’s controls, namely the steering wheel, gear leaver and pedals to ensure there are no irregularities. As with every other element of a vehicle, we take a proactive approach with interiors to nip any potential problems in the bud, making them safe, comfortable and pleasurable spaces to be in.
