Description
Manta S650 Mustang GT & Dark Horse RHD Long Tube Header Kit With High-Flow Cats
RHD S650 Headers Usually In Stock — No Wait, Ready to Fit
Manta Performance is one of Australia’s most respected exhaust manufacturers — and because Australia is a right-hand-drive market, every Manta system is engineered for RHD vehicles from the ground up. These S650 Mustang long-tube headers are designed for the same right-hand-drive platform as your UK car, which means proper routing around the RHD steering rack, correct O2 sensor positioning, and a clean installation without the compromises that come with adapting an LHD product.
Long tube headers are the single most effective naturally aspirated power upgrade available for the Coyote 5.0L. By replacing the factory manifolds — the most restrictive part of the exhaust path — with free-flowing 1-7/8″ mandrel-bent primaries, you unlock significantly more mid-range torque, stronger top-end power, and the aggressive V8 exhaust note the Coyote was always capable of, but the factory system suppresses.
Why Manta
Manta Performance have been engineering performance exhaust systems in Australia for decades, supplying everything from track cars to daily-driven performance vehicles across the Australian and New Zealand markets. Their systems are built from high-quality stainless steel, with mandrel bending throughout to maintain a consistent tube diameter and maximise flow — the same principle used by every serious performance header manufacturer, applied to a product developed specifically for the RHD S650 platform rather than adapted from an LHD design.
At £2,599, these offer a more accessible entry point to RHD S650 long-tube headers than bespoke build-to-order alternatives, without compromising on fitment quality or performance.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why are these headers suitable for my UK RHD Mustang?
Manta is an Australian exhaust manufacturer — Australia is a right-hand-drive market, so every Manta system is engineered for RHD vehicles as standard. The S650 header kit routes correctly around the RHD steering rack and positions the O2 sensors in the correct locations for a clean, leak-free installation on UK-spec cars.
Will these headers require a tune?
Yes. Long-tube headers change the engine’s exhaust characteristics, and a custom ECU tune is required to realise the full performance benefit and prevent O2 sensor fault codes. The kit includes O2 sensor extension harnesses to maintain sensor function, but a remap is still necessary. We offer full installation and custom dyno-tune services at our workshop — get in touch to discuss.
Will fitting these throw engine management fault codes?
Without a tune, yes — the change in O2 sensor readings from the new exhaust flow characteristics will trigger fault codes. With a proper custom tune, the car will run cleanly without warning lights. We handle this as part of our installation and tuning service.
What is the difference between ceramic and non-ceramic headers?
Ceramic coating is a thermal barrier applied to the outside of the headers that helps retain heat within the exhaust gases. This slightly increases exhaust gas velocity and reduces under-bonnet temperatures, which can help protect other engine bay components from heat soak. The non-ceramic stainless version offers the same flow benefits and power gains — the difference is primarily in underbonnet heat management. For most road and track day use, the non-ceramic version performs excellently.
How much power will these add?
Long-tube headers on the S650 Coyote V8, with a supporting tune, typically deliver 30–50 bhp, depending on the tune and supporting modifications. As part of a full Stage 3 package with cold air intake and custom tune, 530–550 bhp from the stock engine is achievable.
Will these work with my existing cat-back exhaust?
Yes. The headers connect to standard cat-back systems. Whether you have the factory active exhaust or an aftermarket cat-back, these headers will connect cleanly. Get in touch to confirm compatibility with your specific setup if you’re unsure.
Can MAP fit these for me?
Yes — and we strongly recommend professional installation. Long tube header fitting on the S650 is a significant job, particularly on the RHD variant. We carry out all installations at our workshop in Batley, West Yorkshire, and every car is tuned live on our in-house Dyno Dynamics rolling road before it leaves. Get in touch to discuss booking.
