The APR Open PEX Intake System represents the ultimate dollar-per-horsepower induction upgrade for your 1.8T / 2.0T EA888 Gen 3 engine. By replacing the restrictive factory closed-airbox, APR engineers drastically reduced pressure drop and maximised airflow, allowing your turbocharger to breathe easier while amplifying those intoxicating intake and diverter-valve sounds.
High-Heat Deflection PEX Construction
Constructed from high-grade PEX (Cross-linked Polyethene), this system combines structural durability with an OEM-like textured appearance. Unlike metal intakes that absorb and transfer engine-bay heat, PEX exhibits excellent thermal-barrier properties that help keep intake temperatures low and performance consistent.
Massive 7-inch High-Flow Filter
At the heart of the system is an oversized 7-inch washable, reusable pleated cotton filter featuring a front inlet and a 4-inch rear outlet. The increased surface area ensures maximum air volume with optimal filtration efficiency, eliminating airflow bottlenecking.
