Engine Oil Cooler
The stock engine oil cooler for the RHD Pre-facelift Mustang GT has shown a vulnerability to failure, a concern frequently spoken about within Mustang communities. To address this, many have taken proactive measures. Our favoured solution is transitioning from the original water-to-oil cooler to a more reliable air-to-oil system. The design of the air-to-oil system eliminates the possibility of coolant and oil mixing in this component, a notorious issue with the stock setup. Opting for this system enhances the performance, and the risk of cross-contamination between oil and coolant is wholly eliminated.
OEM Ford Oil Cooler
While a straightforward replacement of the failed oil cooler might seem like the most direct solution, and given the multiple factory revisions, it may even seem reasonable.
