MAP RTD

MAP powered by HP Tuners. These devices allow us to calibrate vehicles anywhere in the world. This device does not include a tune. This is not an off-the-shelf tune for all; the RTD+ will read the Ford engine software from your vehicle and deliver it to us through the tune delivery network (TDN). From here, we then tune your file for your hardware specification and send it back to you. The RTD+ will then flash this back onto your vehicle, and just like that, your car is ready to go! Amongst other features like Trackaddict and RaceRender it also has a data logging feature, so we can ensure your tune is perfect!

Naturally Aspirated 15-17 Mustang Tuning Stages

The Gen2 coyote in the 15-17 Mustang feels a little sluggish and lazy. Although it might seem interesting to some, in reality, it has been stripped of most of its character and energy, leaving it wanting and underwhelming.

It doesn’t take a great deal to bring it to life, and with a few mild tweaks, the high-revving, modern DOHC 5.0 Litre V8 will have you grinning from ear to ear and feeling like you have climbed into a Fast and Furious movie (one of the early ones, that were about cars).

 

Software only upgrade

We recommend skipping stage 1 because stage 2 offers better value for money. That said, there are still a lot of benefits to have from a software-only ECU calibration from us.

This work will result in a mild increase in power, improved throttle response, O2 failure protection strategies, enhanced sound characteristics and more consistent power delivery.

MAP Stage 2

Start here to set things in motion to bring your car to life.

For cold air intakes, these days, we prefer to work with JLT. You need to install an intake with a larger diameter MAF housing to make a significant power increase. As you can see in the graph, 15% is not out of the ordinary.

MAP Stage 3

Stage 3 is still working on getting air into the engine, the next restriction is the intake manifold. The standard 15-17 intake manifold is not great for performance and is liable to fail. The most cost-effective upgrade is the 18+ manifold, but other options are available.

MAP Stage 4

Headers are the next step in unlocking power from your N/A 15-17 Mustang; now that we have sorted getting the air into the engine, we can focus on getting it back out. ARH 1 3/4″ Headers are preset in this package as our in-house favourite; see below to choose your own.

MAP Stage 5

Upgrading your camshafts will give you some more top-end power. While it doesn’t lose anything down low, there is a noticeable difference when driving the car between the low-end and top-end power range, making the car feel a little numb down low; this is an option that takes great thought and planning on what your car is going to be used for. Cams will be great for cars that live in the top-end of the rev range, but if the low-down pull and torque are what you need, maybe give this option a miss.

MAP Stage 6

This package is a racecar starting point, where drivability will see some sacrifice. This package upgrades the cylinder heads on top of the stage 5 N/A Package.

MAP Stage 7

This is the blueprint engine build. In this package, we take N/A Power to its limits, upping the standard 11-1 compression to 12-1 with forged lightweight pistons and a balanced rotating assembly to create maximum N/A power!
