Description
2026 Mustang RTR Spec 5 — 870+ HP Widebody, Limited to 50 Units
This is not a modified Mustang. This is the Mustang RTR Spec 5 — the most capable, most extreme Mustang RTR ever built, and the purest expression of what RTR stands for after more than 15 years of relentless engineering. Limited to just 50 units per year worldwide, the Spec 5 isn’t chasing rivals or repeating what’s already been done. Every curve, every carbon fibre component, every horsepower is built from RTR’s own DNA — engineered to be Ready to Rock™, and nothing less.
Not just another supercharged Mustang
Under the bonnet sits a 3.0-litre Whipple Stage 2 Supercharger System bolted to the 5.0L Coyote V8, producing 870+ horsepower and 660 lb-ft of torque — figures that put the Spec 5 firmly in supercar territory. An HD Race Intercooler system keeps that power stable under sustained, extreme load, while the RTR by Borla Cat-Back Active Exhaust System, tuned personally by Formula Drift legend Vaughn Gittin Jr., delivers a soundtrack as ferocious as the numbers suggest. Choose your weapon: a 6-speed manual for full driver control, or a 10-speed automatic for brutal, seamless power delivery.
A widebody system without compromise
The 2026 Spec 5 introduces the next evolution of RTR’s Widebody System — and this isn’t a bolt-on flare kit. It’s a fully integrated body system engineered to flow seamlessly with the Mustang’s factory lines, with every mounting point hidden beneath the surface. The result looks factory-built, not aftermarket-fitted:
- Composite widebody components — front fenders, bumper extensions, rocker panels, rear quarters with integrated tyre cooling vents, wheel arches with cooling ducts, and felt liners
- Exposed carbon fibre — chin splitter, front and rear wake tower assemblies, rocker splitters, and rear quarter splitters
- Bespoke fuel door — billet arms, laser-printed nylon bucket, vertical over-centre motion, compatible with all 50-state fuel nozzles while retaining the OEM push-to-open function
Built to stop and handle like it looks
Power means nothing without control. The Spec 5 rides on RTR Tactical Performance adjustable coilovers and adjustable front and rear sway bars, with two-piece front rotors and 20″ RTR Aero 5 Evo forged aluminium wheels (available in Forged Charcoal, Podium Champagne, or Vapour Silver), wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres (305/30/R20 front, 315/30/R20 rear).
Inside the cockpit
Every Spec 5 features leather-covered RECARO Sport seats, an RTR performance shift knob, RTR floor mats, and a serialised dash plaque engraved with Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s own signature — a permanent mark of the car’s authenticity and limited-production status.
Personalisation without limits
Every owner selects a standard colour from RTR’s Extended Colour Palette, included in the base price, or steps up to Premium Paint or a fully bespoke Paint-to-Sample finish. Each customer receives a personalised render of their exact Spec 5 in their chosen colour and wheel finish — and Paint-to-Sample buyers receive a physical painted speed shape for final approval before their car is built. Exclusive to the Spec 5 is the new Extended Speed Block Graphics Package, drawing inspiration from RTR’s Formula Drift Spec 5-FD cars and Creative Director Lindsay Ross’s hand-drawn pinstripe fade designs.
