Quicksilver exhausts BMW M4 Exhaust System and OPF Delete Pipes
Unlike the OEM sports system, which barely delivers on acoustics, QuickSilver’s Sound Architect™ sport exhaust is a significant step up in volume, tone and valve functionality.
The system is offered in two parts: OPF-Back, for owners wanting to keep their car emissions-friendly, or with optional OPF and Secondary Cat Delete pipes (supplied with pre-programmed terminator connectors so the vehicle does not require remapping and can revert back to stock without a trace).
From factory the G80 / G82 is restricted by WLTP valve programming or ‘active noise suppression’, which requires the factory exhaust valves to close arbitrarily below 30mph (all driving modes), at anything other than full throttle input, and every time you lift off. Stifling the robust straight-six soundtrack, these cars are famed for. Pairing with Sound Architect™ gives the driver 100% control over the sound, with valves open or shut permanently via the app without interference from the car. The valves can now also be opened in any driving mode.
QuickSilver’s system features a built-in resonated H-Pipe for a punchy but smoother note without intrusive cabin frequencies, 76mm tubing all the way through and a total silencer bypass with the valve open – creating an incredible soundtrack rich with crackles and pops on the overrun that delight the senses. With the valve shut, the gasses enter a triple-chambered pass, transforming the M4 into a more civilised beast, appropriate for early morning start-ups or long motorway journeys when refinement is key. 101mm carbon fibre tailpipes fill the rear valance to ensure this exhaust looks as good as it sounds.
OPF Delete Pipes Only
For customers seeking the ultimate sound and performance, QuickSilver’s modular OPF and secondary cat replacement pipes, the G80 / G82, will deliver! 76mm mandrel-bent tubing removes the restrictive filters and 600 CPSI secondary catalysts, providing sharper throttle response, stunning definition, and tone with increased projection.
CAD is modelled to suit the QuickSilver OPF-back MPE system, QuickSilver quad system, or OEM exhaust.
What’s more? With QuickSilver, you don’t need to remap the car! Our OPF delete sections come as standard with pre-programmed terminator connectors plugged into the OPF filters’ differential pressure sensor monitor. This means the ECU cannot detect that the OPFs have been deleted, and the dash remains error code free! Nothing is logged on the ECU, and the car is reversible back to stock without a trace.
