TTE940 5149 BMW S58 UPGRADE TURBOCHARGERS & TTE OVERSIZE TURBO INLETS
To construct a pair of TTE940 turbos, we removed the original compressors, installed a much larger and more efficient billet wheel, and milled the compressor covers to the optimal gap to match the new compressor profile. We also fitted TTE 9-blade Low-Mass turbines in the turbine housings for greater flow and lower exhaust gas temperatures at high boost. We designed and fitted our upgrade bearing pack for durability. TTE940 are race-proven turbochargers competing in factory racing and 24-hour events.
We also supply TTE upgrade turbo inlet intakes for connection to the OEM air intake system, or EVENTURI for unrestricted performance and ease of use. This combination offers the highest power potential and a fast boost response for the ultimate Plug & Play hybrid turbocharger upgrade—race-proven, factory-approved.
Equilibrium
Precisely balancing our turbochargers is a key critical factor to becoming a TTE upgrade unit, as longevity and performance are paramount. Good balance improves acoustics also. Subsequent great care is taken with all TTE turbochargers to achieve our balance standards. Firstly, parts are balanced at low speeds up to 2800 RPM across multiple planes using our single-part machine. Components are assembled, and then the CHRA are dynamically balanced, but this time, depending on the application, at up to 250,000 RPM in multiple planes using our in-house VSR machine to acquire the ultimate equilibrium, to a standard far higher than OEM. Each turbocharger is supplied with a serial-numbered balance test result document.
